Testimonials
We bring together the beauty of visual art and the grace of ballroom dance, offering unique experiences that inspire creativity and movement.
"Dr. Picart's pieces are experiments in the exploitation of light and shadow as well as form and texture. Her attention to fine detail reveals her earlier scientific background as a biologist and pre-medical student, with its heavy stress on precision and accuracy. On the other hand, her sensitivity to the creation of concept, mood, atmosphere and emotion are reflective of her former studies in the humanities, as well as her background as a philosopher . . . The Philippine Embassy is indeed happy to see Dr. Picart's work duly appreciated for their artistic value and reflection of the many talents of the Filipino woman."

"Her study of biology during her undergraduate days gave her a surgeon's precision allowing her to unearth social illness as well as to depict nature's awesomeness . . . Her pen and ink paintings . . . capture subtle moments of the powerful kick of a ballerina and the glamour of a group dance, which are remnants of her two decades of ballroom dance, another surprise in her career. She seems to have developed a unique mastery in stippling technique or pointillism, extensively used by neo-impressionist painters like Georges Seurat . . . By using three or four layers in her pastels, her fingers created a unique harmony of blue and green, two colors which are extensively employed in her pastels. Serenity and mobility co-exist in her pastel paintings as rough sea waves hit seaside rocks."

"Dr. Picart is an ideal ballroom dance instructor, from her gentle patience to her positive energy in making each ballroom dance vivacious. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Picart as her dance student for 3 years, learning smooth (waltz, foxtrot, tango, etc.), rhythm (salsa, mambo, cha cha, swing, etc.), and some cabaret elements. Dr. Picart taught me these styles from the perspective of social dancing, competition, and public performance. Dr. Picart is adept in breaking complex patterns into simple elements for anyone to learn. She understands how to put herself in the mental state of the student and see things from his/her perspective, enabling the student to learn. She excels in her conveying the zest or grace of a dance, making her student feel how fun and emotive ballroom dancing can be. Her knowledge of the dances is extensive. Were my geographical location such that I could continue to work with her as dance instructor, I would do so in a heartbeat. The patterns she has taught me remain some of my favorites that I use to this day with my competition partner and with my wife."

"I haven’t met a such talented woman in my entire life! She is sensitive, loving and caring; also smart, dedicated and disciplined. She trains her body as she does her mind. She might look petite but she is huge in every aspect of life! I am an awe of what she has accomplished and I am an honored to get to know her."

"I particularly like Caroline’s mixed media piece ‘Evanescence’. It has a film-noir quality to it, with the shadowy, realistic but dreamlike figure emerging from the background, and I like its darkness. Suits my mood most (meaning all) of the time."

"Caroline is a kind, genuine, and gifted friend. One of her many gifts and talents is her art. Her art has a lot of rich meaning and symbolism. Colors tend to be dark and there are a lot of shadows. She covers a wide range of subject matter. I appreciate her talents that she brings to her art and to her work."

"My husband and I own several Kay Picart pieces. One of my favorites is Dance Abandonment, a joyful explosion of movement and color. It makes me happy just to look at it. I have had the pleasure of speaking with Kay in person about her work. Her ability to translate weighty topics into beautiful, thought-provoking works of art is remarkable."
Professor Emeritus of English, Fairleigh Dickinson University.
"To her extensive practice of the art of dance and full appreciation of the beauty and grace of the human form in motion, Caroline Picart adds a philosopher’s sensibility and vision. Her theory and practice are authenticated by her own passionate engagement with her art. Comprehending the messages the mind sends to the body as fully as the messages the body sends to the mind, she embraces and teaches the art of dance in all its dimensions."

"Dr. Caroline Picart is a beacon of creativity and intellect, skillfully intertwining the precision of science with the fluidity of art and dance. Her work is a profound reflection of human experience, where every brushstroke and movement tells a story of grace, strength, and vulnerability. She captures the essence of motion and form in a way that resonates universally, making the abstract feel personal and the intellectual feel deeply emotional. Beyond her extraordinary talents as a professor, attorney, biologist, artist, and dancer, Dr. Picart’s genuine warmth and curiosity make her art—and her presence—a source of inspiration and connection. She is a master of blending worlds, both on canvas and in life."
Yoga & Salsa Instructor; Nurse
"Caroline Joan( Kay) S. Picart is my best friend, mentor, and salsa instructor. I met Kay in 2010 in Tallahassee, Florida, before she became a full attorney; she was an English, Philosophy, and Humanities professor. She is an attorney, a scholar, a professor, and a founder of the Kinaesthetics, Art, Dance, and Expression. I took a year of ballroom dancing lessons with her, and not only did she teach me how to dance salsa, how to be graceful, and express my emotions and feelings through dancing, but also the importance of discipline, dedication, and perseverance in mastering a skill. In 2012, I started teaching yoga and salsa lessons and established my own Green Seeds Yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida. Kay has been one of the most influential people in my life, shaping my career in ways I never thought possible. Her ability to communicate effectively and her peaceful presence are truly inspiring. I am drawn to her gentle tone of voice, gracefulness, and her kind heart that radiates from within. Her spirituality and loving nature are qualities I deeply admire. Her influence is profound, and her unusual commodity expertise across law, academia, and the arts is rare. Her unique career path has allowed her to bring together various skills and perspectives, making her a dynamic and influential figure. She lived a great story and always expressed deep and positive gratitude in all things. She continues to live a great story, makes a significant difference in people's lives, and always expresses deep gratitude for everything."
